Well-being is also about supporting the adults who support other people as I know how important this is as a parent and as a teacher. All parents need support as I know myself through hitting the wall a few times and learning self care is essential not a luxury.

Through Healthy Ireland Meath in 2023 I was able to access funding to offer wellbeing support to parents of Autistic children and a women's group within the Navan Traveller Workshop. During the Traveller Women's workshops we talked about practical ways to support our physical & emotional bodies while also being a Mum & daughter. I delivered Dads only wellbeing sessions in which they enjoyed mindfulness, relaxations and an opportunity to chat to other Dads at different stages of th Autism journey.
This year I have supported parents living in temporary accommodation in IPAS (International Protection Accommodation Services) centres. Many families have left their homes after trauma and are now living in a new country with a new language. One dad apologised for falling asleep during a visualisation but said I really enjoyed it as he then told me he was working in three different jobs to pay for his son's education. All parents need support along each stage of the parenting journey as we all learn from each other.

In recent years I have offered wellbeing support to businesses online before work and during lunch breaks as companies understand the need of supporting the well-being of their employees. I have also delivered wellbeing workshops to HSE staff on their premises and the staff at the Office for the Ombudsman for children.
